Chinese New Year - Chu Er

Kicked off the programme for the day by going to my Aunt's house. Spent the afternoon sleeping actually (and I couldn't fall asleep at night because of that!), and was a bit groggy when I woke up. Anyway, played Starcraft for the first time in more than a year! It was insane... my heart was racing and everything. I realised that I do actually like to play games - when the right one comes along that is! I stayed till about 6 before heading over to Yishun. To my surprise, I was the last (along with WL, my fault) to reach Ming Boon's house!

Look at the smoke in this photo! That's Ming Boon, me and David! By the time Wee Lee and I found our way to her house, everyone had pretty much finished eating already! Luckily got David and Ming Boon and Jun Qi to accompany me in my 1 hour dinner. The steamboat tasted really good. I think I ate a bit too much rice, but the beef, prawn, vegetables and stuff were delicious. The rest of them played mahjong and blackjack - with golden-coined-chocolates!

Me and David at our crazy best. Again.

We took a class photo quite early because our da xiao jie Angeline had to leave. The class photo this time round is rather good in terms of attendance and the standing positions and arrangements! This one will surely make it to our classic archives. Anyway, as I said, they were playing mahjong before that, so no surprise that the green fa cai was in their hands!

After that David, Jun Qi and I went to Ming Boon's room. There were four huge posters of Jay Chou and I quite liked the feel of her room. Very cosy. I can't believe that it's the first time I've been to her house when I've already known her for two years! Haha! She showed me a bit of something that she had been working on and we all agreed that it was pretty good. Also, we had a lesson of photoshop. It was bloody cool how she could make a fantastic blend in a short time. We spent an hour or so discussing graphics and learning a few tricks of Photoshop here and there!

Ming Boon's mom came in and gave us ang bao also! She was a very friendly lady who was very warm and welcoming towards us, and I really appreciated it.

I wanted to have more time to pour over Ming Boon's collection of Jay stuff but time passed rather quickly and before long, she felt that it was time to entertain her GUESTS. By that time though, the rest of them were going to leave already!

This is one fantastic photos of the guys (sans Mr Tan) and it's been a long time since we've taken one! We had a good warm up taking three photos like prisoners against a white back drop...

... which I've decided to blend over here using some of the skills I learnt yesterday. I must admit that I didn't take too long to do this and it doesn't look like what it should've. However, I consider it a successful completion of getting the three photos together anyway! It really looked as if we were prisoners. Arhm. The girls had their version of it too.

This was the group of us that stayed on till about 1130PM to play tai ti. It was the first time in my life I gambled tai ti and I quite enjoyed it! Oops. Okay, it's probably since I won the first 3 rounds happily. We played 5 people, 4 people and 3 people tai ti even. Kind of desperate for some entertainment! Took a bloody cool photo with Jie Yu with the MTV label too. Arhm, must try to get it from him ASAP.

It was a very fruitful and successful gathering. Looking at everybody and feeling the atmosphere, I really thought that every single person enjoyed themselves a lot. Be it during photo-taking or playing games, everyone seemed very happy. We'll all be meeting again next Friday, but for a somewhat sad occassion. We'll be sending Angeline off to Brisbane, which is like, damn far away! Haha, but it's going to be real exciting to go to the airport again. For Swensons! Haha! Can't wait!

Chinese New Year - Chu Yi

My family started off in the afternoon because apparently, no one could get enough sleep! After breakfast and plenty of dilly-dallying, changing, hair-styling etc. we managed to get into the CNY mood and started exchanging greetings.

Sort of went crazy with the new camera that I got. This was taken by my sister and I helped the rest of my siblings take photos while they received ang baos from my parents!

A family photo that we took somewhat long to take. It was quite a random arrangement. Apparently, my mother was inspired by the Jay photo that I posted yesterday here and decided to bring out some props for us to hold in order to make the photo more interesting. Also, there was light from the windows at the back and I took a glance at the camera's manual to set the flash so that the photo would come out nice!

A photo of the guys of the house - my dad, my brothers and I. There's a lantern hanging overhead that immediately bursts out into a New Year song everytime you clap loudly twice in front of it. It does get annoying sometimes, because my dad enjoys hearing it at the weirdest times of the day, but at the same time, it does serve to up the festive mood in the house!

We went to my maternal grandparents' place and started exchanging greetings. Unlike my paternal side, where a handshake would suffice, we still take mandarin oranges when greeting. I like and appreciate all these small traditional things because they make the entire thing interesting. This is the aunt who shares the same birthday as me. I realised it when I was young, I thought it was a pretty cool thing because there're 364 other days to be born on! And thus we'd celebrate our birthday together every year.

This is me and my er jiu mu exchanging greetings. Sidetracking a bit, my family was wearing such red clothes that we attracted the attention everytime we walked past the coffeeshop on the way to my grandparents' house. Even when we walked back at 1230AM, when there was a match between Man U and Wolves(?) going on on TV, everyone'd turn around and look. Arhm, haven't seen a Chinese costume before loves? =P

My brothers, my dad, my uncle and me. In glorious red.

You know you're the center of attention and made it big time when there's more than one camera taking your photo at any one time.

I have to announce that... this is my new pair of shoes for the new year!

After that my family went to my paternal grandma's side for awhile before returning. Watched Narnia and I must admit that it wasn't really that nice. The trailer was overly impressive and it made it felt like it would've been a blockbuster like no other, when in fact, it wasn't too good as a movie. I think the book would be a very entertaining read though, so I might try to get my hands on it. Also, the actors were all pretty fantastic, so a big thumbs up to them for that. A bit off topic that, but later on, we went to my uncle's house, which happened to be 4 floors downstairs! Tinkered a bit on the piano when I was there.

There was also this eye-relaxation machine thingy where it'd flash circular, colourful lights and somehow your eyes just feel relaxed after looking into it. I tried it out and it was fantastic. It really really worked, even though my eyes were still contact-lens-bound and dry and oxygen-deprived. He bought back tonnes of KFC (which happened to be on non-delivery during this festive season), and it tasted good! I think my favourite fast food place has got to be KFC.

We also took individual family photos, followed by a huge everybody-in photo. It was using some very expensive, high-tech, film-mode-camera. With the detachable lens and flash, super-professional-camera kind.

The last group photo taken by my cousin of the five of us. I don't really know why but all of us has a gold necklace with our birth-year animal on it. Mine has a tiger.

After that we went played blackjack. 13 people in total. We were all kind of tired after the whole thing though, so it wasn't as crazy as expected, but it was still good.

I am so dreading Wednesday when I realise how much fun I can have when I'm on OFF.

Chinese New Year Eve

Yesterday was Chu Xi, and I went to my paternal grandma's place. She looked very happy to see us. I conversed a few short, sparse sentences with her in Hokkien. Even though I might be able to understand what she's saying, I can't reply very well. I only know the very basic stuff. Anyway, she sort of told me she went for dialysis that day, and then asked me to go eat. It's signficant because... that was already the longest conversation I had with her.

Moving on, we went to my maternal grandparent's place and once we reached there, they were ready to cook up a storm. I enjoy being there and being in the company of my cousins who are all around my age.

My brother, sister and two cousins, one of whom was nice enough to lend me the camera. I forgot to bring along mine. Okay, that's an excuse. I was kind of lazy and didn't bring a bag along! Oh man, my Dad just turned on some CNY VCD as I'm typing this and is blasting it using the speaker system. Everyone in the house'll be disturbed awake in no time!

The steamboat sure looks delicious, doesn't it! Ate quite a lot of stuff from there. In my family, the most favourite food item is undoubtedly the crabstick (which we nicknamed hong bai, red-white). And with the addition of the very green vegetables which served to add colour to the soup, it certainly looks appetising.

Me and my sister. Oops at the rather crappy photo though! Never mind, there'd be plenty of chance to take more today!

I shifted over to the BBQ table. It was the sole table with that was able to BBQ out of the 3 that were set up. The butter prawns were the most memorable and delicious. Also, there was an on-the-spot invention of prawn in egg! It smelled pretty good. Meat cooked on BBQ is also more satisfying to the taste buds! Haha...

My two brothers and I.

The table which was churning out all the BBQ good food! We received orders from our uncles even. It was quite cool when they said that the food tasted really good. Of course, it's all thanks to my grandparents who bought a whole lot of food and my grandma and aunt who prepared them. My cousin's an incredible cook too. I think it's in the genes. Hahaha...

After that we played a little bit of Blackjack, and then watched the CNY countdown show. It was quite hilarious at parts but there was obvious miming during the many singing sessions! It would've been nice if it was made to sound more LIVE though. Chris and Fann make a great couple, but they looked a tad awkward on stage together. Or maybe it's just Chris' awkward hairstyle. It takes awhile to get used to, so it isn't really that bad. I couldn't stand it when they got teased again before the countdown! And it seemed that no one could come up with anything better than having good health for CNY. Where's the Gong Xi Fa Cai?! I fell asleep during part of the show too!

Looking forward to all the CNY thingies going on today!

Jay and friends would like to wish us a Happy Chinese New Year!

Hyped Up

I am excited about Chinese New Year. It just means more good food, a reason for celebration, ang bao, photo-taking, meeting people I haven't met in a long time, and gambling! And my house is pretty decorated for the occassion.

Anyway, the past week has been crazy. My instructor really scolded me till I broke down. After that he had a two day MC and another guy took over. He was not gentle with me but continued pointing out my mistakes and was very patient in trying to make me understand what I've done wrong. He gave me a lot of chances to try out on things and I got understood the purpose of going through certain parts of the circuit. Yesterday my instructor came back and I was hell nervous because I was going to make my debut on the public road. Luckily enough, I've improved by leaps and bounds and so was rather free from scolding. I'm still not very good at changing gears and all that, but I've gained confidence to try it and improved on it. The course is in actualy fact rather tough. Although it allows me to stay out, it demands that I get enough rest, sleep early and sometimes even spend more time revising on the theory of it. I've got a test on Friday and I want to pass it the first time. However, I don't think it makes sense to study for it during CNY!

Yesterday I went out with Zhenhui to have Pizza Hut. I don't know why we always end up eating at PH. He was 20 minutes late although he came out early. 161 is a little bit rubbishy. We talked a lot about the jeep course because he belonged the the frame before mind and we shared a lot about our driving war stories. There was plenty to talk about, like the reckless taxis, stalling the engines when braking, instructors... all that kind of stuff. There was so much to talk about that after our 2 hour stint in PH, we were thirsty and breathless! Haha... bloody cool stuff.

After that we took a walk around and reminisce on our first meeting (together with Shuming who was having Reunion Dinner at her Maternal grandparents' place). It brought back a lot of memories. We also went to Civic Center to check out the Party World, which was mind-numbingly expensive. *REPULSED*

After that we stopped at the MRT station when Shuming called. We were actually thinking of where to go together because she was free. But I'm not exactly the most spontaneous person and both Zhenhui and I weren't really dressed for any cool 24-hour place. Moreover I was bloody tired from the lesson that day. I told you the course is draining all my energy (including the bloody time and cash it takes for transport).

This morning, I just talked to Jeffrey about his cruise trip and a lot of other stuff. It's hell great to hear from him again, and I'm glad that he enjoyed himself during his long break. It was not NOT BAD; it was good.

Me and Yvonne celebrating our 18th Birthday, courtesy of our fab class 03S10A. I miss times when I was in uniform. I think I look more weathered now. It's been a year plus already. Sigh. Those were times of innocent youth... (I don't think I'll miss the days of the green uniform tho'!)

Crap Beginning

I got screwed for the my first 100 minutes of driving today. I just couldn't get it. I don't know why. I don't think I'm slow to catch on things, just that I was being guided through the steps without knowing what they were for. So I've decided to do some reading and all that before tomorrow's 100 minutes. I was rather demoralised about the whole thing but being the cool Libran (the Scales) that I am, I got pulled back to my normal self as quickly as I could. Optimism. I'll do better tomorrow. I can't possibly be worse with 100 minutes of driving already secured under my safety belt!

It was really a cramming session today. We had non-stop lessons on various stuff, from parking to driving to HSP and also getting to drive in a simulator. I got the opportunity to drive off the road, up the curb and to a place where the simulator could not simulate. It was mentally exhausting to do it, and it even caused some people to feel nauseous. HELL, if I were to stay in there longer, I would too.

It's just another stressful and tiring day learning driving. Despite feeling exahusted, I went for a short exercise and true enough, it took away all my lethargy. At least I'm much clearer in the head now. There's so much I want to do now during my non-training time, and I'm really looking forward to CNY, for a well deserved break.

One day of lessons drained away my weekend of well-rested-ness.

I know it's rather cliche but I can't help but say, "Tough times don't last, tough men do."

A New Camera

Okay, so the word "new" doesn't really hit the nail on the spot. The truth is my aunt has given me her camera (which is way better than my own) because she's going to get a new one, and I'm just ecstatic! *Time to unleash cam-whore-ness*

Right. Today I went out with Terence for lunch at KFC and basically a talk. We talked about the usual kind of stuff, which although isn't boring, is getting a bit repetitive. However new problems have cropped up and I think there'd be tough times ahead. But what the fuck, Platoon 1 is stronger than whatever they can throw at us.

We went window-shopping at PS and the were quite a few interesting things that caught my eye. If I had a few dollars to spare, I think I'd have invested on a good few CDs! Other than that, we had the luck to witness some Chinese 'stunt' performance. I don't know what to call it in English. Zha Ji Biao Yan. We stood and stared in awe at the 30 minute performance and it really was pretty cool. From the young kids to the adults, they gave their best in the show and we were thoroughly impressed.

Went to Quicksilver and saw my buddy! Was quite surprised because I haven't seen him outside before. Anyway, we stopped for a quick chat and got updated on some of the things that have been happening in camp.

After covering the whole of the shopping center, we left for home. By any stroke of luck, we should be meeting again for Chinese New Year. Tomorrow's the start of another week of Jeep lessons, but this time, there'd be practical. Exciting stuff.

Pic of the Week

Jay Fever

I was going through the motions of my lecture yesterday and during a break, a received a mere message from Ming Boon, announcing the arrival of Huo Yuan Chia:

Yo! Jay's new ep with the new weird song.. Plus nov's chopin's 12 mvs is released today!

I tried my best to contain my curiousity and did not look for it when I was at Causeway Point yesterday.

However, I went to TS today and they had 2 TVs showing his MVs. Till this very day, he perhaps is the only Chinese artist to release a DVD for every CD, since Fantasy. And my first Jay purhase was the VCD for Fantasy. Anyway, instinct took over self-control and I whipped out my POSB card and paid for the DVD.

And I rushed home to watch it while having lunch. I have only one word for it:

Brilliant.

It was his best set of videos since Fantasy, and I think that he has reached another peak! It is unbelieavbly good. I must also say that Huo Yuan Chia is most impressive! It's the leading song off the soundtrack for Jet Li's movie, Fearless which opens on the 26th of January! My hair stood on their ends when I heard the song! There hasn't been a Shuang-Jie-Gun-ish song on November's Chopin and so this track more than made up for it. As for those who are wondering what the other song in the EP is, it is none other than a cover version of a song done by Jordan Chan!

This set of videos feature things that have become iconic in Jay's videos, like the Pepsi signs and Panasonic handphones! Such blatant product placing! Other than that, he goes through a lot of different image changes to portray all the different kinds of songs that are on his album. I cannot put a finger to which video I liked best, because all of them are special in their own way. The unique Jay style is still retained in most of the videos but if you compare them to his earlier works (including the songs themselves), then you'd notice that he has actually evolved a lot. Those who think that every album he releases is just a carbon copy of his previous stuff should go dig their ears!

In addition to all of that, there is a mere 23 minute video which is a collage of his concert in Hong Kong. Watching that really got me on a high! It was so amazing that mere words cannot describe it. It consisted of the most exciting moments in the concert and I was in awe (with jaws on the floor) as he played a piano duet of Flight of the Bumble Bee and the other very famous classical piece whose name I can't recall! His stage presence is better than ever too.

Did I mention that there was dancing in Hua Yuan Chia as well?

He has also returned to his fit-self (which was around the Ba Du Kong Jian era). His image of a very masculine musician is something I idolise. Oh yeah. Coolness. And his fashion sense was top class in the latest string of videos too! *copies*

Joking.

Addictive. I could watch the DVD over and over again.

Change

It's a fact that no one can escape change, and the only way to deal with it is to face it and work on it.

Yeah, my company's going through a huge change right now and it has got me worried. I know things are going to be difficult, and I have a feeling it'll be pretty tough. And with my absence, everyone might've forgotten about me by the time I come back!

Haven't got much time to type this, and I'm very exhausted and actually wanted to go to sleep by 11PM. Went out to watch Memoirs of a Geisha with Mak just now. Will elaborate on that tomorrow. Anyway, my dad has decided to stop driving his cab and will be returning the vehicle soon. He tried driving for 2 hours today and then felt uncomfortable.

It's insane that the breadwinners of the house has now fell on the shoulders of my brother (who is luckily not in JC and working while waiting for his results) and I.

There's a whole lot a change.

Thanks to all my friends who messaged me and gave their concern and blessings and updates on camp stuff these couple of days. Learning jeep isn't the greatest experience ever, but I'll get through it.
P/S - Realised the number of spelling mistakes and all on my previous entry. I will get down to correcting them. I'm just too tired these days.

Many things

There's been a tonne of things which've happened these few days that I haven't had the time to blog it down.

First and foremost, a very happy birthday to Terence Chua and Jay Chou who celebrated it yesterday, on the 18th January!

Secondly, yesterday was kind of insane because we took our first test ever, which was something to do with Highway Codes. Anyway, all of our platoon passed, with Zhicon, Guo Fei, Kenneth and ME scoring 50/50! I was quite happy with that for that moment, but fell into deep, inescapable boredom when the lectures resumed. They were important, and it was sometimes entertaining but sitting and staring at the board from 8-5 is not a very healthy experience. Too much passiveness.

At night, the house got a surprised call by my father. He wasn't feeling well these few days and already went to visit doctors (like 2 or 3 of them) and all. He called back saying that he had checked himself into TTSH, and he couldn't move. My mom and I rushed down to the hospital thanks to my uncle, with his wife, who drove us there. I tried my best to keep my cool and tried to make my mother less nervous. She entered the waiting area after taking her temperature. My dad came out after awhile and said that the doctor concluded that it was because of stress. The doctor somehow massaged his chest and relaxed the tension, causing him to feel normal again. We went to the petrol station where he left his cab and drove home. When I finally got to bed, it was already 12 midnight.

This morning I was surprised to receive an SMS from David asking me if I was free for the night. I replied and looked forward to meeting him at the end of the day. It was what got me through the computer lesson for today. It wasn't really boring, but some things are rather repetitive and caused a tiny bit of frustration, although it was supposed to be a rather relaxed day on the whole.

Anyway, I finally found a shorter way home (by taking 59 to TP and then the train). I met him at the Woodlands MRT station after taking a quick detour home to change into my civilian clothes. I met him at 1830. He came straight from camp (and has off tomorrow!). We had a hell of a time eating dinner at the food court, where he had his Mee Pok with plenty of fishballs, despite having cohesion dinner. And I had curry chicken, which was horrible for my sorethroat and ulcers but I just couldn't resist it! We sat there and talked all the way till about 8 PM, long after we finished our dinner. The topics that we talked about ranged from music, people, our MYJC days, army/navy and tonnes of other stuff. It's been a hell long time since I enjoyed such great company.

We then went shopping a little at Music Junction but didn't buy anything. However Dav found some stuff worthy of his money at Comics Connection! After glancing about and seeing Ichigo and discussing how pretty Hebe was, we went to Akun Kaya (don't really know how to spell that!) and had tea. It's kind of funny having tea in the lateness of the night. We then went to take a walk at the MRT station looking over the view of Woodlands, which didn't look as good as normal! Walked to the coffeeshop at my place and sat around to talk some more about almost everything under the sun. Had tea AGAIN, but this time it was Green Tea and Wintermelon! Headed for home at 2230, which if I were in camp would've been my usual sleeping time. I'm too used to it already.

Thanx David!

My Buddy messaged me and said that we were in the same team and Sgt Shawn was our team com. We don't know who is the other pioneer in our team, but I think it's kind of cool I get to work with two of them again. Although I kind of expected it myself! It's times like these that I miss camp! Oops. Bloody hell, I'll have to leave house in like 6 hours to go for my course. Bah.

Looking forward to a movie with Mak tomorrow and when Zhenhui passes his ATP, we'd be going out with Shuming to Holland V on Saturday! Can't help looking forward to this weekend - it's more happening than usual!

Test tomorrow

Damn tired and sick today. Ooh, forgot to mention that I got the chance to drive the jeep for the first time yesterday. It was fun. Other than that, I had an entire day of theory lesson. It's terrible trying to stay awake (my eyes were open all the time when he was talking) and then sleeping whenever a break is given. It makes me cranky. And I hardly get to talk, which makes me felt like I've lost it. I don't know why. There's a test tomorrow that I have to pass too. The stress.

On top of all that, I actually felt real sick and cooped up in the classroom today. So I thought that doing a bit of exercise might help make me feel less... ache in the bones and get rid of sinus, coughing etc. But I was on an empty stomach and felt horribly faint when I got back home. It sort of reminded me of the time when YH ran his best 2.4 timing and after that he just blanked out and all. Haha! We offered him biscuits and all but he didn't feel like eating and sort of crushed it and threw the crumbs over me. And he got back what he deserved too.

Good old times.

I dread waking up at 515AM and travelling for 1.5 hours tomorrow.

Laugh Out LOUD!

I was told to call a number and heard a vvoice asking me to leave a voice message.

Hello

Some say I look like Tom Cruise

Some say I look like Gu Tian Le (Louis Koo).

Some say I sound like Wang Lee Hom.

And I really think so too.

But if you're looking for Mak, leave your name and a message and I'll call you back.

It was in the most I'm-really-cool voice and I couldn't help but laugh like mad after that! It really brightened up my day. The beginning of the message I left was me laughing uncontrollably followed by my personal comments on his 'poem'!

hahahaha! wah, ur message made me laugh like mad too! haha.. hope it had been entertaining, something lively in our busy lives..

Blanked Out

After today, I feel so tired. My brain's just crammed up with so much that I have a headache. It's going to be theory for the rest of the week, and I'm just trying to keep my sanity intact.

And travelling's a bitch.

And I miss my bunk.

Felt really hungry when I got home, only to see porridge. Threw a bit of a tantrum and all, even ignored my Dad when he told me that he went to TTSH for his leg pain.

Boo.

Did I mention that there's HOMEWORK?

Alone but not lonely

I had a hell lot of stuff to do today, and they were all army things! I'm repulsed at the very fact, but that gave me a good reason to get out of my house, so I'm glad for that.

First up, I went to Causeway Point to have Carona Chicken for lunch. It tasted very good and I was glad that I was out, because if I were home, I'd probably be starving and waiting to eat some disgusting stuff from the coffeeshop downstairs. Seeing that it was still early, I went to Popular and bought a bloody expensive pen. I've decided I'm not going to lend it to anybody after my continous bout of disappearing pens. After that I went to Yishun to meet Sern Hong to get my 3 sets of uniform. I'm quite grateful for his mother for helping me sew on the rank (I'm finally a corporal! No longer LCP!) for a mere $9.

Travelled all the way to Westmall accompanied by my trusty (faulty more like it!) mp3 player churning out all the songs that I love. It's now loaded to the max, all 5 GB of it. I deleted Shania Twain's and Stephen Gately's album and added Janet's Damita Jo, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi and Justin Timberlake's Justified.

Westmall is a place where I've had good and bad memories. Okay, so I don't really have bad memories there, it's just that I cannot get over the fact that I enjoyed myself there and I missed those times so much. Like how I celebrated my 14th birthday (WTF I'm 19 now!) in the company of 3 good friends. There were just stuff that I couldn't forget.

Anyway, I lost my ID tag due to the mistake of my dear brother. I shall keep it short. I dumped my clothes (including my ID tag and FAD) into a plastic bag. I threw it at the laundry area. It was near the rubbish-placement area. He thought it was rubbish and threw it away. If he hadn't been so frustrated by the fact that my parents were shouting at him to throw the rubbish, it might've occurred to him that the plasic bag actually contained clothes.

I walked two rounds around the place before messaging Guo Rui and asking for directions. It turned out that I did notice the shop, Green Adventurer (or some shit like that) but I thought it'd be something to do with Army. I actually thought the shop sold stuff for out-door people. Dumb. The aunty told me to come back in two hours because she was busy. By mistake, I asked her when she closed shop and she told me 9 45PM. This gave her the wrong impression that she had all the time in the world to do it for me.

I brought my swimming stuff along because my initial plan was to go the Woodlands Swimming Complex after completion of all these chores. However with 2 freaking hours to burn and good knowledge of Bukit Batok (I used to live there), I took a peek at the map available at the MRT station and walked my way to the pool at Bukit Batok.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the place had undergone renovation (the last time I went there was in Sec 3/4). It looks spanking new and there's a pool with a water playground for kids. The changing room was spacious. To top it all off there weren't too many people and the sun was shining in all its glory (cliche!). I went for a 10 lap (that's 20 lengths right?) swim enthusiastically and got out feeling superbly refreshed. I don't know how exercise makes one feel physically tired but mentally hyped. Like someone had reformatted everything and the brain feels refreshed. I went to toilet, came out, laid down at the bench for a tan, before entering the pool again.

And before I could even finish the 2nd lap, it started raining. BOO. I got out of the pool and could see all the little kids with disappointment written all over their faces. Oh, and there were plenty of children there. It made me feel old. Terrible. I took out my stuff from the locker and took my time in the changing room. As fate would have it, after taking one last look at my tanned face in the mirror, I stepped out only to find that the rain had ended. And the kiddos were happily in the pool at their nosiest and rowdiest - as if it had never rained.

Feeling a tad hungry, I went to eat fish porridge at the food court and it was slammin' good. I then went to return my library book before heading down to collect my ID tag and as PREDICTED, the woman said she wasn't expecting me so early (after 2.5hours) and asked me to come back another 30 minutes later. I was about to murder her because my mp3 was feeling faulty (Britney and gang sounded like they were drowning) and on low batt, my bag was weighing me down with the uniforms and towel (bulky), and I was sick of walking! I took another trip to the library and read the interview with Daniel Ong, my all time favourite DJ, on The Sunday Times before going back. She was so busy, she couldn't be bothered looking at me as she just dumped the ID tag to me.

I went back to Woodlands and paid my handphone bill. I have now, a 3 digit number starting with 3 in my bank account.

I am repulsed.

Anyway, visited the library to borrow books. There'd be a lot of travelling and maybe even waiting these few days so I need some stuff to keep me entertained.

It's been a busy day, but I enjoyed it immensely. It's like... task completed, mission accomplished.

Strawberry Bounce

(Chorus 1)

La-la-la-la
La-la-la-la (repeat)
I like to make it
You know I'll make it
(Now can you take it)
Lose control

Ooh baby
Let me be your playground
Push it out and catch it on the rebound
Turn it out swinging from this pole
I'ma make you
Lose control

Gyrate then spin it like a yo-yo
Slap the back and jiggle it like jell-o
Honey if you came for a show
I'ma make you
Lose control

(Chorus 2)

La-la-la-la
La-la-la-la (repeat)
Up and down baby
You know I like to make it
(Now can you take it)
Lose control

Bump the beat
Just watch the way I pump it
The way I work it gonna keep you cumin'
Do a dance that's so sexual
I'ma make you
Lose control

Don't trip
You know you wanna watch this
I'm a pro you won't be disappointed
Gonna leave you beggin' for more
I'ma make you
Lose control

La-la-la-la
La-la-la-la (repeat)
I like to make it
U know I'll make it
(Now can you take it)
Lose control

La-la-la-la
La-la-la-la (repeat)
Up and down baby
You know I like to make it
I like to make it
Lose control

(Bridge)

Ew wee baby
My lips are sweet as honey
When I put 'em in your face
Gonna make you spend ya' money
Uh-huh
Come on or you're gonna miss it
Ding dong don't you wanna kiss it

Watchin' me
Do a dance
Makin' you so horny
If you want a little taste
Gotta show me how much you want

I'm bout to
Pop it
Bounce, Bounce
Clap, Clap
You like dat?!!

I did a tease to bring you to yo' knees baby
Broke you down
Made you feel sleezy
Then you said...
"Fine muthafucka, I like it"

I did a tease to bring you to yo' knees baby
Now you know that pimpin' ain't easy
Then you said
"Fine muthafucka, I like it"
