10 Things

10 Things That I Discovered While Hanging Out With The French

10. I know a lot of french words, such as chateaux, déjà-vu, cliché, renaissance, café and escargot.

09. Montpellier is awesome and I need to go there in the next 5 years.

08. I don't know any French singers except for Matt Pokora (for whom Timbaland produced a couple of songs, whom Kim Vy is disgusted by, and I mean Pokora, not Timbaland), and Kim Vy learnt that Celine Dion is Canadian.

07. In swimming, we call "freestyle" "front crawl" (or at least I do), they call it "crawl". But "butterfly" is still "butterfly".

06. The people in the south of France say hi to you when you're walking on the streets. The guys in the north don't.

05. The manga "One Piece" is available in France, in French.

04. The French don't mind getting wet under a drizzle, but detest drowning in sweat under the hot sun.

03. "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?" is considered aggressive when a girl says it to a guy.

02. The French are very good at drinking, despite what they may tell you. And despite the fact that they may be 5 years younger than you.

01. French is a very, very difficult language.

The French

Qiqi and Yueting's French friends came down to Singapore for a visit and we had fun meeting them. I can't quite describe what we did all night other than a lot more food and alcohol than we usually got! I think they most certainly brought out the "fun" part in us!

When we went to Starbucks to try out the Christmas drink, we were quite sad to see that they would only have it tomorrow. Qiqi told them that we had French friends and they actually made 2 cups specially for us! We were probably the first to try it at Raffles City! Hahaha...

Can't Turn Back Time

It's my third day of not worrying about school work. I think I'll probably start soon. However I'm still worrying about my interview tomorrow. That's a whole load of stuff on my mind. In addition to that, I actually bought $88 dollars worth of clothes from G2000 because I was afraid that I had nothing to wear. Yesterday I bought $60 of clothes from www.spreedom.com.sg.

So I am now officially broke, especially since I'm not really teaching tuition.

Anyways, in my third day of not worrying about school, I actually thought back and wondered, "What do I feel passionately about?" I haven't been involved in something that's so loaded with emotion since... well, since the two freshmen camps that I did last year. Almost a year and a half have gone. I haven't been part of anything that's on that scale. I haven't felt that kind of bond or that kind of excitement.

I think I need one of those to keep me going. Whatever it may be. Something new and exciting and just a little crazy.

I don't know how many of my freshies and fellow FOC com members read this blog but just a little flashback happening here. Maybe it'll trigger some good memories for you too. Presenting, once again, CS FOC 08 and Hall 12 FOC 08.

What A Weekend

Calvin and Hobbes said, "Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless."

There were breakfasts. Staring at the ceiling. Ding Tai Feng. My Sister's Keeper. Laying around. Shopping at Ion Orchard without buying anything. 3 Episodes of Ugly Betty. Planning for the week ahead. Stoning. Sleeping. Not exercising.

My entire weekend was pointless. And it felt very fucking good.

Ugly, Disease, Love, Revenge

When something familiar is no longer there
Hope gives way to tears and despair
I search among the torn remains
For something that won't cause me pain
But no longer can I rely solely on
The things I had because now they're gone
I search again for something more
To keep me sane and keep me warm
A kiss or hug would be nice
But waiting for them would not suffice
The best way is to live my life
And learn how to juggle with knives
That get thrown by Cupid and fate
I'll learn to call a spade a spade
Stay true to myself till that day comes
When I'll be free and I finally

Find someone

Who'd be the last hand
That ever holds mine

Christine's Birthday Party

Saturday was Christine's birthday celebration... It was a lot of fun because -

1) There was mahjong
2) Crazy people playing wii are entertaining
3) I won a lucky draw prize (packet of peanuts!)
4) We were all as dumb as we usually are

I think the theme was rather difficult for the guys. We ended up dressing like nonsense! Hahaha... but it still made it great for photo op. Stanley deserved the best-dressed because as LRQ said, he looks like those kena fucked my MILF kind before being... erm... yeah.

I find it really entertaining that a huge group of us can gather to have fun, play weird card games that I have never heard of, play with dogs... etc. CS is small but we hang out in our cliques. It was fun to chill out with everyone else too.

Okay. For nonsense, scroll.

Nestle

On Friday Ness, Stanley and I went shopping at JP after school! We were supposed to be studying. However it turned out to be one of the best shopping trips ever and Stanley got himself an awesome new shirt for his interview. I don't understand why shopping is fun but it is. I make a very good shopping buddy because somehow I am very enthusiastic about such things. And while waiting for Stanley to try on his clothes, we camwhored.
