No More

People do silly things when they're upset and unable to free their minds from self-built prisons of self-pity and pain.

Like forgetting to bring their towels to the shower.

Or staring at the computer screen till 4 AM.

Drama is good for reality TV, movies, soaps and serials.

Not my life. I've had enough.

From Ashes

The Hall was buzzing with various activities today. People going for training, people locked in fierce competition and people showing their support fiercely. I was glad I came back today, just to see what I've missed.

Some friendly hellos from the people that I've made a difference during their short stay in hall made me realise what I've been missing.

Quite a few people commented that they haven't seen me around lately. It made me feel as though I've been hiding under a rock. It was disorientating for me too, to suddenly thrust into the bustle of being involved hall activities again.

Dance rehearsal was great, although I've forgotten about half of it by now. I tried, but I couldn't make it till the end. Haven't had such an intense workout for such a long time. It felt good and I'm looking forward to more. It's bad that I'll be missing rehearsals the next three days, but it's easier to turn down an invitation than to let down people whom I've promised to go out with for the longest time.

DnD meeting was good. As a senior I knew what I was doing. I had opportunities to speak up and play a greater part in shaping the events that will follow. The thing I enjoy most is guiding people. I'd really like to hear the juniors speak up more because we value their opinion. I don't want to dominate or intimidate so I'm controlling myself. The point is for everyone to grow through their involvement as I have. It's a great experience.

We're moving forward.

Goth it is.

Rift

An argument, a disagreement and egos collide. Two people who cannot see eye to eye. A clash of ideas and beliefs.

After a hard fought battle it's hard not to sustain injury.

There's a reluctance, a certain inertia to let things be, just because it'd be easier. Maybe trying to solve the problem is harder. But that's the way I've always been, running away when things get messy.

Dying is what it is. An end. Healing wounds, clearing bodies - giving in to responsibility borne out of relationships - is a challenge.

There is a choice to be made. To leave the damaged out on the battlefield or to mend the rift, between the present and the past.

It was good when they played Gimme More and Womanizer and all those songs that I know on the RNB dancefloor. Other than that it was quite a pain losing one of my slippers and lugging my bag around.

Tonnes of good food at Chomp Chomp plus a movie marathon with awesome friends = the life!

Okay so I fell asleep during the third one. We shall not get any more French movies. I think Priceless and Amelie are just lucky hits. Bangkok Love Story was awesome though, I became totally awake! And the first one.. Grace is Gone or something like that, was not bad, but it kind of reminded me of the movie where the family goes on a road trip in a yellow bus and bringing a corpse with them. Oh well.
