Blogging vs Term Paper

Yes, I need to straighten my priorities. I'll do less socialising. I'll do more studying. I'd rather be editting photos from my birthday, because I've just received them today, and I know you guys'll love them too, but I have to get started on the term paper. I actually promised myself to finish it this weekend, but it's come and gone and all I've done is the outline. I shall sit down and try to make a proper start on it! I won't have time to do it in the next couple of days. For example, I've got water polo tomorrow after lesson and I wouldn't miss KKJ's performance for the world, so I'll try my best (no promises!) to attend the CS Birthday thing. I'll try to finish the term paper tomorrow, at the very latest I'll get my blog entry up by Wednesday. It's a promise. Till then!

Break The Ice

I suppose I need to do more studying during the weekdays and keep Saturday totally free for a day of guilt-free fun. Every moment that I'm having fun there's always this nagging feeling of work to be done. They're piling up in a corner, secretly, kind of like dust and you don't notice them until they combine powers to form a huge repulsive dustball on the floor and you just can't help but freak out.

I'm not sociable. Yes I know. For the millionth time, don't give me the look of utter shock when I reveal that I'm taking CS. It's not funny. I'm quiet, and that's who I am most of the time. I had a lot of fun playing volleyball yesterday. I think it almost amounted to 3 hours of continuous play. It's damn fun, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I'm glad Vince called me along. They were all seniors and nearing the end Zinc asked me why I was so quiet! I didn't feel uncomfortable or anything, so I guess that's just my normal self.

3 huge birthdays coming up next week, and I'm quite stressed. It's kind of cool that all the cool people celebrate their birthdays in the very cool month of October, but it's not cool that I am only one month away from exams. I have 2 term papers to do and a lot of other stuff like preparing for my group speech and final theatre presentation.

I think I need to focus more and it'll all be fine.

I'm distracted by the fact that Britney's video for Gimme More has been leaked, Jay's 19th Jan concert tickets are fucking expensive and J.Lo's live performances of Do It Well have been rather impressive. Also, Garbage has an amazing Greatest Hits album out, I am very tempted to buy Paris Hilton's album after hearing a HQ versh of it at HMV today and I can't get enough of Jolin's album.

I'm feeling fitter everyday after Water Polo on Monday, running on Thursday and Volleyball on Friday. Abs. Abs. Abs.

If only I could spend my weekends laying on the beach with nothing on my mind.

Electives

I've never regretted taking theatre as one of my electives. It's fun and challenging at the same time. Everyone's creative, the lessons are creative. There isn't a lot of homework, but there's a lot of thinking involved. It's a mental thing as well as a physical thing, because there is acting involved. The people are very cool as well. Hilarious and intelligent and spontaneous.

I'm quite okay with taking What Is History?. It's kind of a weird subject but it fits rather well with my timetable. I've got a group of fantastic CS friends who are in the same History tutorial group as me, and they are probably my closest friends in CS. That itself makes everything better. It's great having people who can support you, burn time with you while waiting for lessons and joke with until the cows come home. We Punk'd Ahmad today. Youtube moment.

Maths. I loved the subject but I've got a good mind to SU my current Maths111. I don't understand most of what is going on, even if I make more effort than my core subjects to listen to the lecture. There's a test this Saturday and I'm clueless. I'm totally screwed. I don't have much to work on, probably because my brain is empty. I wanted my Fridays free and I thought as a Science student I might've been more comfortable with it. But it turns out that I'm wrong. And I've no friends to turn to for help. Regret. Dammit.

Hall 12 Havoc

01

First I'd like to thank Colin for this. Woah, as a birthday present it's even more significant! Haha... All that's lacking is an autograph! I was really really excited to get it, but I've only managed to hear one song from the laptop! You're right man, I need a DVD player. Bringing it home to blast!

01

Terence dropped by for a drink at around 11pm with ice and Baileys! I was really damn happy that he came down for a chat and a drink. It's really quite rare that he drops by even though we live a mere 3 minutes from each other! Haha... I had only a little to drink but it was enough to get me rather high as you'll be seeing in subsequent photos. My face was as red as a lobster.

01

Quite a few people trouped down to my room, and I was pretty fearful for what was ahead! Haha... but the birthday box made its way down, and it contained gifts from Dan, Mei Si, Yi Ping and Jing Ying! It's quite cool (excpet for the fact that my floor is littered with many bags and the extra box). Then somehow the thing started and they gave me the birthday cake box to see my cake for myself. It turned out to be empty except for my OG-mates' signatures! They then brought in the real thing!

01

Which was really quite impressive. After a really loud birthday song (we controlled ourselves after an email was sent out last night regarding noise after 1130PM!), we proceeded to cut the cake.

01

Yes, the crowd loved the pageant pairing so much they were demanding for it non-stop. Without warning, I was scooped up by Shu Qi. And quite effortlessly I must add. Then came my first experience with poling. I think I went through 3 objects before they were satisfied and were willing to throw me into the disgustingly smelly NIE pond. I had trouble getting out because the sides were so slippery.

01

And so before I managed to get myself out, they took the opportunity to take a photo. Such good friends I have! I chased quite a few of them and rather successfully I might add. I didn't actually managed to catch anyone but I gave them a bloody good run for it. I wanted to catch Shaun and was camping outside his room for a bloody long time, but he was too smart and stayed there till there was a huge enough commotion outside. I gave up and went back and I jumped onto Ivan.

01

Who then got me on the ground and took revenge by emptying Weihao's Gatsby on me. It was freaky. It's something apply everyday before going toi school and the smell's so damned strong and he actually spread it over many parts of my body.

The assault then escalated as camou cream (yes lao ba I know it was your idea!) and toothpaste. Seriously it felt like Initiation Night Part II!

01

Photographic evidence... I'm going to pay you guys back double when your birthday comes! Haha... The security guard sort of came after us then I think. I can't get the timeline very very strict.. but yeah, he sort of broke up the fun. We finished off the birthday cake (which tasted pretty good btw), and went for one good group photo, taken by Kai Rong!

01

Thanks for celebrating for me, with me. I haven't had such fun in a long while! Although it was kind of torturous but still... haha...! More on presents and such another time. Look at the time! I need to sleep! OH NO!

More Red Photos

Yeah, I know why there's a sudden burst of people visiting my blog recently. It must be for photos. Alright, I shan't disappoint you guys, so here are nine! I'm sure you're aware of the DSLR and my fantastic cousin who took so many photos of the event, but I've to get it from him first before I send it out. The photos from my camera are pretty rubbish quality. I think my brothers need to improve their photography skills. Anyway thanks to all my relatives who turned up! It was rather compulsory also... haha, cos I'll definitely turn up for your 21sts! And a special thank you to all my friends who made their way down. I really, really appreciate it.

Sneaks

Basically the kind of nonsense that I've been up to during the recess week but haven't got enough photos (apparently DSLRs require me to put in more effort to acquire the photos) and haven't got the time to blog about. But I will do them after this week. The damn Maths test that's happening this Saturday is freaking me out! Doesn't mean I will neglect my blog though, so...

01

I went to the CS DnD. I still don't know a lot of people but saw Victor there and us juniors quickly grabbed a chance to take a photo with our VP! Haha...

01

The four of us and our failed attempt to the Chinese Garden on Thursday. Ended up watching Nannies' Diaries or something. Bad stuff.

01

And The Red Party. I can't thank you all enough for coming! Hope you all had a great time!
