Rotating Restaurant

In case you were wondering how I managed to take photos of Mt Faber, Vivocity and PSA from one location in the previous entry, it's from the rotating restaurant that's somewhere in the vicinity. Sadly I've forgotten its name (yeah, I'm terrible with names), but I'm sure you can do a quick search to find out what it's called! Anyway, my relatives and I went there for lunch to celebrate my grandmother's birthday.

The food was pretty good. We were all taking bets on whether the first dish would be cold plate or shark's fin and it turns out that we were all wrong! Haha... It happens to be that fried mushroom/seawood/weird vegetable combination at the top right hand side of that picture! The restaurant sort of specialises in dim sum and the likes.

I took a lot of photos of us eating. I wasn't quite keen to be on the opposite end of the camera cos I looked like shit after only 4 hours of sleep. The mahjong session that went on the entire night with Louis, Samuel and Ivan lasted from 10pm to 6am with a half hour break for supper at a neighbouring coffee shop!

We enjoyed each other's company a lot. It's amazing to be together with people you grew up knowing. We shared a lot of jokes and other nonsensical stuff.

I particularly enjoyed that thing the waitress was cutting up. I don't know what it's called but I think it's some meat with dark sauce that has a lot of vinegar added to it. And there were just too many of those cute round puffs that we ended auctioning them off using Zhong Ji Mi Ma! Last of all, I got my grandmother to take a photo before leaving the restaurant.

But the her grandkids wanted one with her too, so we hogged the staircase...

... and took this!

Camwhored a bit more at the entrance before we went on a shopping trip at Vivocity, which was fantastic! It's been a long time since I've gone shopping there and the bountiful selection just drove me crazy. There were a lot of clothes going on sale but I didn't see a lot that I liked! It's probably the first time I've been shopping with my cousins! Ahh... it was great relaxation before school reopened.

If only everyday choices revolved around choosing what looks good on you, what looks good together with what looks good on you and lastly whether others think it looks good on you...
