A little bit about Paris Hilton who enters the top 5 this week. She was one of the greatest debuts this year on Billboard when she came in at #18, but has been steadily falling ever since. Anyway, I'm sure it doesn't matter to her as long as she gets her fun out of releasing an album and having the world wait for her next stunt in anticipation. Of course you might remember that other than being the daughter of a famous hotel-owner, she also has got a sex tape and reality TV series on her list of achievements. Her next single's called Turn It Up and looks likely to accompany the release of her album.

At #9 is Jessica Simpson who celebrated her 26th birthday on Monday. This is the first song in her career where she does not attempt to oversing nor screech nor try to prove that she can sing. Instead, she employs purring and soothing tones with a hot bimobtic persona to boot! The song has been compared to being a Holiday (by Madonna) copycat, and is stalling on Billboard at #39, but I think it'll at least make it Top 20!

The highest debut on the chart this week is the return single for Mr Justin Timberlake. Back after a couple of years dabbling in movies and Cameron Diaz, Justin has just dropped over to Europe to do a bit of promo for his up and coming sophomore album. Of course, Billboard has less than kind things to say about this track, commenting that "This meandering melody-free jam is atrocious. Timberlake is unidentifiable with his grossly distorted vocal as Timbaland whoops and hollers alongside, in what is essentially a four-minute loop. " Others have called this the poor man's version of Britney's I'm A Slave 4 U. It's growing on me, but definitely not the single-of-the-summer material. I love it still though - Timberlake-appeal works on me.

Here's a short piece of news about the Pussycat Dolls, who have been doing fantastic on my chart! I don't know why but I just love their music. Addictive. Danceable. And good raging, stomping pop. It has been announced that their 5th single in Europe would be I Don't Need A Man, while either How Many Times, How Many Lies or Wait A Minute is set to go for adds soon in the USA. I don't know which one. I've received conflicting news!
